Acting on credible information, senior partners of a leading International Law firm suspected that one of its prominent Lawyers was the target of a hostile campaign by state-sponsored opponents, intent on discrediting and intimidating key adversaries in the lead up to high-profile court action.
Concerned for the safety of the individual, and for the integrity of an ongoing case that had taken years of building, Int Research was instructed to undertake a risk assessment of the Lawyers home and routine.
Int Research teams were deployed to undertake a variety of tasks: the home and vehicles of the Lawyer were meticulously examined for technical devices by specialists using sophisticated equipment and innovative techniques, surveillance operatives were deployed proportionately to identify suspicious activity, and a covert search team undertook an exploration of the surrounding area to seek-out concealed cameras, infrared ‘trip wires’ and observation points.
The discovery of an advanced-capability camera, strategically placed to capture movement at the house, confirmed suspicions. Responding to this threat, all evidence was forensically secured and passed to the police, and an action plan was swiftly implemented, including the incorporation of counter-surveillance measures.
As a consequence of the diligence demonstrated by Int Research, important case preparation was able to advance uninhibited at a crucial stage whilst, at the same time, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the Lawyers involved.
